Haven't done anything to get ready... Such a slacker, I know. TJ will be out Thursday evening, so we have all day Friday set aside to wrench on the wheels. I'm going to a costume party this Saturday, then going to get my tailwheel endorsement on Sunday. Not any time to get started this weekend, but between TJ and I, Friday should be plenty of time to go through the bikes.

Looks like this week is going to be low to mid 90's, but Saturday there's going to be a cool-down. Looks like our ride is going to start in the low 60's, and the high is only going to be in the upper 70's. I think that's going to be great! It might get a little warm for TJ and I in the garage getting the bikes ready on Friday, but it'll be worth it. I have a garage fridge full of beer, and a workshop with ceiling fans. Really looking forward to this ride!

Everything sounds awesome, however I am up in Anthem, that start point is pretty far for me... I'd ride over but my tires would probably be bald by the time I get there!... maybe we'll see!

CycleGear has really good prices on dual sport tires. The only rub with them is that you have to bring them the rim. They only mount and balance the tires, they don't do any work on the bike itself. Might be worth looking into.

Not going to make it
Sorry guys but i'm not going to make it. My Brozz is all back together except the head
 I sent the head to a machine shop for a 1mm deck but they dragged feet and i only picked it up yesterday. I ordered some carbide bits (arrived yesterday) and one of those electric motors that hang with a 3 foot cable and a small drill type chuck at the end (up to 4mm). well that was just dropped off by UPS  . This looks like just the ticket to do the cylinder head. I will keep you all posted.I hope the ride goes well with no breakdowns or punctures and the weather is favorable. Most of all just have fun |
