Preferred Oil

This is probably a stupid question. I have a Brozz on its way and it's my first bike. Looking for what you guys use for oil. Was going to pull the trigger on the following but it says "heavy duty diesel"?

Just curious. Why does it label as diesel?

It's for big trucks, it has additives that modern car oils lack, and doesn't have the friction modifiers that modern car oils have that wreak havoc on a wet clutch.

OregonDewd....Its labeled for Diesel as it meets all the requirements and specifications set forth by the Diesel engine manufacturers. Regular automotive gas engine oils do not meet these standards. Diesel oil can be used in automotive gas engines, although not recommended. API-rated diesel CC or CD oils do not meet the engine-cleanliness parameters set forth for oils rated SF for gasoline engines,..also typically do not have any anti-friction modifiers. Shell Rotella (specifically Rotella T 15w-40) is commonly used in motorcycles because it meets the standards that are recommended for motorcycles, such as JASO-MA and thus has no friction modifiers (not "Energy Conserving") that are not recommended for wet clutches.
