It is a 2021 and it looks like it came direct from china to Tao Motors Carrolton, TX. Never opened and then sent to me. It has choke adjustment on the handle bars. No usb charging port. I will check the front sprocket when I get it together later this week. No damage from shipping! I am happy with the 428. Maybe TX powersports is putting the LED bulbs in.

Mine was still sealed and came with the usb, led lights, and overkill 530 gold chain.
It's probably not significant, but on low hp machines like these, the extra weight of the 530 chains and sprockets are probably eating up a little bit of power.

We will probably never know, but I feel that the 530 chains were all they could get hold of for their first batch(es) of bikes due to COVID shutting down supply. Perhaps ran out of LEDs but found 428 chains on the later bikes. The 530 chain sounds interesting, to be honest, but with all the variety of rear sprockets for the 428 chains, that would be my preference, at least for a street bike. A dirt bike would be fine with a 520 or 530 chain.

It's possible that TXP had those bikes built to there specs. Venom Motorsports does this. They Spec out what they want on the bike and have them built. Peace Sports did the same with the Brozz 250.

I like so far. I've been using it as a daily driver for work. I have about 480 miles on it already and is just starting to loosen up. Great cruising bike and comfortable on long rides.

The Venom Ghost reminds me of a smaller lighter modern version of the RE Bullet 350. The RE is a very comfortable non-highway ride at only 410 lbs too.

Nice looking bike. The flat green looks sharp.

That is good to hear. It’s a very sharp looking bike. Would a person a little over 6 feet be comfortable on it?

Got my TBR7 yesterday. 2021 model, 428 chain, halogen headlight, cable choke, and fixed shifter. Are these batteries filled from the factory? Mine says maintenance free and I didn’t get any electrolyte. Forgot to look for USB port.

Did you at least get a folding shifter?

Negative. I’ll check after work for a build date. Where would that be located? Also it has a tube coming out of the head pipe. Looks similar to a PCV valve. Any idea what it is? Could use info on the battery I mentioned above.

Manufactured date is on the VIN plate on the chain side of the swingarm.

I figured as much on the battery, thanks for confirming. My build date is also 9/2020. Was your chain tight? Mine is and I have no more adjustment. Not sure what I’m going to do there. I can’t find another inner link so I can’t add a master link. Open to suggestions.

My chain was tight too. Everything was, including valves.

I had to loosen the axle bolt, loosen the swing arm adjusters, kick it forward, and tightened back up the axle bolt again. I had room to adjustment on the 530 chain it came with.
