Hello from Wisconsin

I'm a long time owner of Japanese motorcycles but hopefully will be the owner of a Chinese bike soon. I'm from Sun Prairie Wisconsin just north east of Madison. Right now I have 2 Kawasaki Z125's and a Suzuki c90(1500cc). Recently retired and always looking for new hobbies.

I have ridden into Rio a couple of times but haven't made it to Fall River in a number of years. Maybe it'
s something I need to do this weekend.

I'm leaning toward the Hawk 250 efi although the TBR7 seems interesting. The Q9 dealer in Madison gets both of these in stock often. They have the carb'ed 250 Hawk in stock now but they are listed as trail only and not road legal, something about emissions?

Welcome!

I have the cheaper Orion RXB250 - kind of like that TBR7; feels more like a true dirt bike! Though I would love to test drive an EFI Hawk or any of the others as well. Would assume the response and overall run is smoother. I also have a carb'd bike, still road legal though; and the bike didn't come with a spark arrestor. There were stickers on the bike that read "off road use only" - but I took those off and still was able to get it registered and all - as long as you have the turn signals, mirrors, brake, headlamp, bla bla bla - should be good to go.. unless your state does strict emissions / smog testing? I know California doesn't care for these Chinese bikes because of emissions, but I may be wrong - I have seen people with the Hawks out there; but maybe EFI only?? Just speculation..

You can't go wrong though, man! I haven't seen anyone dislike the choice they made on which bike to get either! I like to rip through the trails myself, so I went with a more 'dirt bike' feel. The world is your oyster!
