Better rear shock for a hawk?

Looking for suggestions for a better rear shock on my hawk. Don't need to raise or lower ride height just want a shock that doesn't ride like a pogo stick. Someone suggested a 2016-19 zx10r shock and am wondering if there are any other options. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I'm familiar with Dan's post and he's a wealth of information. Since he has a brozz swing arm I didn't read into the post further.

Possibly the shock from CSC? It is adjustable, possibly could be a direct swap, as many parts from their TT 250 swap over to the hawk. On their site as an OEM part, $210. Worth a look....

David,

Try this one. It’s a shorter one that the Choi family used in their mods before going on the TAT. They got the 290mm one:

I thought about the tt250 shock but wasn't sire it was worth the $$ as many of the tt250 parts I have used aren't a big step up in quality or performance from my hawk.

Didn’t know, was just a suggestion….. I’d at least give them a call, they are known to have demo stuff lying around. May sell you a near new one for cheap???

So I grabbed one of the 2016-19 zx10r shocks from ebay. Was pretty much a direct fit replacement but is fully adjustable and so much better ride. Highly recommended upgrade. I should of done it sooner. No shims required just a simple R&R
