You guys are lucky that you get first grab before they put them up on the site. The reason they have not posted is because Lifan didn't send them good stock photos of the bike. They are assembling the first bike and will post actual pictures of the bike. Don't panic, they have 35 Green in stock. Not going to be like a Black Friday Sale and get trampled.

I saw this bike on the most recent update to the EPA/DOT 'On Highway Motorcycle' list, and it actually states the engine is 250cc. No more...no less (usually the official EPA lists have the actual size, such as 233cc, or 229cc, 248cc, etc.) So, the KPX is apparently an actual 250cc engine. I have no doubts it will hit at or a few mph away from 70 mph as advertised, as the X-pect 200 approaches 70 . That will help with the 'What Chinese dual-sport can maintain at least 55-60?' questions we get around here.

So I received the parts list for the KPX 250 and engine. Looking at the engine there are existing oil ports that will make it a plug and play for adding an oil cooler. Also there i an actual oil filter like on the KPR and KPM 200 and an oil screen. The engine is counter balanced too. It does come with a 520 chain according to the parts list. I've contacted American Lifan and requested a service manual. They will email it to me once it is available. So far i am very happy with the quick response from both Venom and American Lifan.

My bank was trying to protect me from fraud by denying my purchase attempts, no problem, but that caused confusion in Venoms accounting dept so I'm waiting for them to clear it up on their end.

The actual service manual or just the owner's manual?

I emailed them asking if I could buy the factory service manual for the X-Pect and they told me no. They said the only service info they provide to the public is in the owner's manual.

They said they'd provide specific info if I asked, but when I emailed asking for a torque spec for the triple tree they never responded.

I wish they would make a full service manual available. I would be willing to pay for it.
