Pickup re-locator

someone found a pickup relocator to advance o retard ignition ?? flywheel key it’s easier but it seams unavaible at a the moment.. so.. plan B.. or Plan C with a programmable cdi..

You don't need that key, just advance flywheel little bit at a time. two tries for me,runs a lot better

loosen flywheel nut remove key ,then put flywheel back on just advance flywheel a little bit. dose not take much. made my bike a little better,just a little

It's a tapered shaft, basically turns it into a press fit. Key is mostly for alignment.

On many engines you can just widen the mounting holes on the pickup coil so you can move it a couple of degrees advanced or retarded.

I measured the offset in my 4 degree offset key. The offset was 0.7mm. Take a stock key and have it milled then rotate the flywheel against the offset and tighten down.

You could even mill your own key provided you had a couple of spares to play with, a belt sander, and a Harbor Freight micrometer.
