Glad you got one Zapkin ! I doubt you'll ever regret it !
....
speaking of gearing... I have a CSC TT250 and would like the gearing low enough to get the front to come up (wheelie) on throttle up.... any idea on how big a rear sprocket would have to be to do that ?
I realise I could go smaller with the front and bigger with the back and that is probably what will have to happen to get the low powered TT250 to do that but one sprocket is cheaper than 2 LOL...
when I was a kid My brother in law had a bridgestone 50cc and he got a 72 tooth sprocket for it and sense it was a small 2 stroke it really changed that bike.. top speed rapped out was just 35mph but we rode it in the dirt and it wasn't even liscnsed...
we could wheelie in 2nd gear by just throttling up ! that bike was a kick in the pants !
I'ed really like to get this TT250 to be light in the front able to wheelie by hitting the throttle just right and do a wheelie ...not dumping the clutch.... it'll wheelie now by dumping the clutch but I don't like doing that I'ed rather bounce on the front forks and goose it to get the front up..that works for me...dumping the clutch is just hard on equipment !
so can any of these chinese 250's wheelie just by twisting the throttle ? I'm sure all can wheelie by dumping the clutch but that's not what I'm asking....
if so I'ed like to know what you did to achieve that !
thanks....
Bob.........

This is what JT offers for this application. If you want to preserve more low speed controllability off road, consider 44. Frankly, I don't like taking my 6 speed Temp X on the highway, and I have a 39 tooth sprocket on that one. Plenty of power to push over 70mph. But for me it has nothing to do with the gearing. It's the traffic and high speed pressure from goofy drivers. I prefer two lane roads. I may just sell the 6 speed. I am more off road oriented, and will just take a car on the highway

BTW- I kept the 49T rear sprocket and original chain on the 5 speed. You can keep it stock for a while during first few engine hours and get the feel of it off road. That low gearing is nice for slow speed negotiation, and easy front tire lift on bumps. Wheelie fun
yep highways are for cars and motorcycle riders with way larger doo dads than I have.

Youo still got a great bike, great deal. Of course, you could buy another bike. Less than $1600 for the Temp M is just outrageous!!

I called this morning to try to transfer my layaway over to the M but the lady who answered at PSM told me there is no layaway on the black friday stuff.

Its all good but I was kind of hoping to save 300.00 and still have a Templar.

Zapkin I'm also trying to do the layaway but it looks like it's adding $100 to my total.
Did you see anything like that.

That website lay away thingy is hoakie..I called them and did it all over the phone. When I tried to setup the layaway it was doing the same thing to me and I figured it best just to call and talk to the nice young lady on the other end.
