2007-2009 Suzuki RMZ250 plastics/graphics are a "go". Right side panel required a little trimming, and had to slot the holes on the side panels where the seat bolts on. But good fit otherwise. I like it!

You are going to love that engine. It might vibrate a bit more than the newer 6speed, but there is a counterbalance whine in the 6speed. The 5 speed engine seems crisper, more responsive as a result. The M should be AWESOME off road. I definitely prefer my 5 speed for trails.
Hello there, I just put a Templar X on layaway. Did you say the 6spd has a whine? Should I avoid the X and ask PSM to change my order to the regular Templar?

Thanks! Also-the fork guards for early 2000's Honda CR/CRF motocross bikes (Showa forks) are a direct fit.

Also good to know! Do you know if there are any fork shoe protectors that fit?

No problems with the engine (either one). You can hear the counterbalancer linkage, but that's normal. If you are planning on running more than 20% road, stick with the 6 speed (ZS172FMM-5). If you only use the road to get to the dirt, and periodic errands, then you might want to go with a 5 speed (ZS172FMM-3A). The X (6-speed) will do it all, so stick with that unless you want to save some money. The X gives you the adjustable suspension too.

ALL of the Templars are BIG and TALL. These are full sized enduro bikes. I recommend lowering it. I am not sure you can do this with the M or Templar standard (fork legs?). But you can with the X. I did.

Are you talking about a disk cover? These are for keeping mud out from between the pads and the rotor. Some disk protectors have integrated protection for the fork shoe, like this one.

They make 'em for the Honda CRF. Maybe someone will have to take the plunge and see if it works. Could be used disk covers on ebay for less.

No idea. I've gone as far as I plan on going with the cosmetics at this point, at least until I beat it up.

I ordered a set of 07-09 RMZ 250 decals and had the logos customized for my Templar X. They fit perfectly on the plastic that came on the the Templar X. I was hoping the OEM RMZ 250 plastic would bolt right on as well. But I wasn’t sure. Until now. Thanks! Your bike looks great!

Just got my bike!

So excited to join the Templar 250 X riders in this forum. Got my bike today. I've been reading and studying these forums while deciding which bike to buy. I look forward to learning from you all. Thanks for all the great info.

Assembly finished.

Question: in the assembly video, they tighten the rear suspension links by hand. Is hand-tightening good enough for that?

Do you recommend me using loctite on all the suspension bolts?

My bike came with forks installed. How do I know they're straight and aligned properly?

I was just talking for the bottom of the forks, but may go this route and see what happens.
