Hunting reputable dealers....

Hi,

I'm hunting for e-commerce dealer suggestions, as we look to expand our dealer footprint.

We are launching our first motorcycle in Q4, partnered with Loncin Industries in China. Loncin is probably best known in the USA as the private label supplier of many models for BMW.

https://www.bmwgroup-werke.com/berli...roduktion.html

Currently, our products are available exclusively through a retail dealer footprint, primarily in the Midwest & SE USA.

Due to Oklahoma Motor Vehicle laws, where we are incorporated, we are unable to sell direct to consumer.

Names that have been suggested to me include Venom Motorsports, Brozz250.com and Powersportsmax.

Any thoughts on these? Any other suggestions? Feedback?

My Best,

Chris Riggs

Do your company a huge favour and stay clear from any of dirt bag Manny’s dealerships in Texas ,search this site for the horror stories from members dealing with him and his companies .Other than that how about bringing something to Canada ,we can’t buy any street legal china dual sports as far as I am aware of ,and I am certain they will be a hot item up here .

I agree. anything that's 300cc and up and water cooled would be a hit on here. Preferably 25+hp.

I’ve been forewarned by a moderator here, will heed the warning….

I’m not sure what the export rules to Canada are, as well as your emissions laws.

I’ll have to look into it.

Interesting, we have a liquid cooled 26 HP, EFI CVT scooter…..that we launched last year. Does a legitimate 85-90mph.

https://freedomscoots.com/storm-s-300/

I had no idea there would be interest in a larger displacement dirt bike/ motorcycle.

I’ll have a chat with Loncin.

What specifically would you like to see? Size? Features?

I can’t share too much yet….

But if you could imagine a big brother to the Honda Grom…..with the latest & greatest technology available….that would give you an idea on our design rationale.

Still a MiniMoto chassis, but with better capability….ahem, the race version

I’d love to pick your brain, I’ll PM my cell….

I’m a Maxi Scooter guy, so while I have owned a handful of motorcycles, it’s not my knowledge base.

But I’d gladly welcome the feedback….

I'm sure most of the guys on here will fill you in on what they would like. I was checking out the Storm S 300. That's pretty impressive scooter. I'm sure it will check off a few boxes for some people on here.

Our issue is our freeways all have different speeds including 70 mph, 80 mph or higher. And our car drivers like to drive 10 mph faster than the signs say is legal for the freeways. So on a 70 mph freeway all the cars are driving 80 mph. Now the problem for motorcycle is you need more power to safely pass a vehicle, so to travel on freeways a motorcycle buyer might look at something that can do 110 mph because the last 20 mph might be very slow acceleration to get to and when passing or emergency you need to get to higher passing speeds fast not slow.

One thing I don't think the Chinese understand very well is the type of variation of riding here while still wanting inexpensive options. Some of us don't want so many bells and whistles. What we need though is something that will handle our varying road situations. I want something that can handle highways to reach the slower speed places to ride. It's not an easy nut to Crack. More power is necessary though.

Another thing is that most of us like the idea of being able to buy direct and have the bikes delivered to our door where we can assemble the bike and avoid all the dealership fees.

Another feedback is Asian motorcycle factories build with the assumption the rider is 150 pounds weight with minimal added safety gear weight when designing the suspension on motorcycles. Here the weight of the rider is much higher and the riders wear full safety gear which adds a lot more weight. 150 pounds rider should be 250 pounds rider to cover a large bulk of USA riders.

A true carb'ed 300cc engine on a street legal enduro/dual sport that can hold an old fat man (250-300lbs), achieve 70-80mph with ease and still be able to do some trail riding. Maybe offer as an option what type of tires come with the bike, ie knobby vs. street and/or an option to add a full set of the opposite of what comes with the bike.
