I think the green looks sweet.

I have to find the rest of the plastic I need before I can find out tho.

That is a photoshopped image. I did it to see how my bike would look green and thought I would share it.

Went for a longer ride today with a friend (he was on a 600 suzuki), to compare speedometer readings. Mine matched his +/- 1mph.

Total trip was 20 miles. Bike did great and RPMs seemed to be around 7500 at 60mph. (update katoranger)

However

At about mile 18 I noticed my TACH was not working, at mile 19 I noticed it was working again but was reading high. Upon turning the bike off the TACH needle stayed at 3000 rpm :(

So I gently tapped the side of the TACH - needle fell off.

Upon closer inspection the part of the needle that slides over the square "piece" that rotates was broken (half missing). :(

It sounds to me like you have a gray market seat. That is a shame because those seats are nowhere near as comfortable as the ones bearing the Lifan name.

The sooner these gray market seats are off our bikes, the better!!!

psst ~ I'm just kidding!

had me for a second

Rode the bike to work today, nice day for riding except for the wind, I really need to get a windshield.

Took my cover off the other day to check my front sprocket.
Front = 17 tooth
Rear = 46 tooth

Painted spare white side covers black, will post pics later.

On the way home yesterday I inadvertently got the bike over 60MPH on a downhill stretch and the front wheel started (i don't want to say wobble so) to get a little "squirrely".

I have checked and tightened the spokes.

Any thought?

It may just be the tires. Also make sure you have the correct tire pressure.

I had a difficult time getting the stock front tire to seat in the propper location on the rim. Had a spot on the tire thad rode a little lower in the rim. But my problem was more of a hop than a wobble.

Yes. If I am going 50+ (haven't tried it all speeds) and pull the handlebars to either side the same thing happens, which in turn makes me quit pulling so that I don't wreck it.

Exhaust Prob

Going over the bike tonight and noticed 1 minor problem and 1 major one.

Minor:
upper left side of air box has a hole with metal insert for mounting but
there is no place to mount it, as in no hole for a bolt to be used in ??

Major:
I had noticed some black stuff on the right side of the starter before but
had attributed it to chain lube "spraying" off. However, tonight I noticed
the clamp around the muffler where the 2 sections meet was a little loose
so I tightened it up, started the bike and poof, there is exhaust shooting
out. It is shooting out right at the motor and starter.

How can one fix this??

How are riding it? Off-road. City traffic.

I ride in suburban conditions so I am moving most of the time. 73mpg after filter and exhuast mods with 108 main jet.

I am using it to commute. 10 miles, 2 lane road, 55 most of the time with 2 stop lights.

Any thoughts would be great.
