If the oil is not in the cylinder, just drain it with the drain plug. I don't have a quad, but most engines have a means of draining the lubricant...Let gravity do the trick!

If oil is in the cylinder, you have big problems

Good luck,

How in the world could you put 5 extra pints in???
Some already splashed out and you are still overfull???Where did it come out???Airbox or tailpipe.
1 litre does not equal 1 gallon...lol

Note to other members, this is not an opening for bash time!

Does your bike have a dipstick?

Drain and refill, should be fine....Might smoke like mad for a few minutes though. Probably will need a new plug after it's all said and done.

Don't overfill, use the stick, some bikes don't have the stick they have a little window.

If oil is dripping out the bottom I hope it's just your oil drain plug, you can get rubber o rings for that plug cheap at a parts store.

Drain the motor and with the key off, give it a dozen kicks of the kick starter to help drain. I too suggest swapping out the plugs, (re-gapped properly.)

When refilling the oil, start with, 0.8 of a litre and let it sit for a minute. Read the stick. Add 0.1 L at a time till you find out how much your bike takes, so next time you do the oil you can pre-measure and do it quickly. Litre is pint-ish, not gallon-ish.

Let us know if it starts, if it keeps leaking, and or from where exactly? Post 640/480 pictures if you can. Ask questions before fixing, if ever unsure about the steps in wrenching something. Good luck,

On cars if you overfill fluids sometimes You can blow out seals, Might have blown the gasket on it....I am not sure if ATV motors can vent off extra pressure or not. I know more about cars than ATV's though sorry

I was hoping you wouldn't say that, capone. That may be a mechanic job or maybe not. I don't know your wrenching skill level. Sounds like you blew a gasket though. :(

Is it possible it's coming out of one of the breathers and running down to where you're seeing it?

Why did you add that much oil, without draining the old oil? There should be a drain plug on the bottom, or on the left side a spot where the oil screen is and you could drain it from there, it is a large bolt usually 23mm or so (maybe 24)...
