So forklift, in your opinion, if I got one and did some of the upgrades you've mentioned in this thread, would the Chopper be reliable enough to make the 40 mile hall twice a day say 2-4 days a week. Again I'm only concerned with the reliability. I know I'm going to have to work on the comfortability. 8O Thanks and Be Better Than Blessed.

I think it would be doable....Iv tooled around all day many times
(about 40 mi. a day.) As long as you stay on side streets.
You will deff. have to do most of the up grades.Lights ASAP,fuel tank
would be best to do before introducing fuel. But a 3 stage sys.could
be used latter on to coat tank. Now one of 3 things should be done
but not mandatory...First either a lager sprocket in the rear(by 1-3 teeth)
orrrrrrr second a lager drive sprocket (which takes a dremel and time)
orrrrr third the most difficult 2 larger "jack shaft" sprockets.
The problem is I couldn't get lager sprockets that would be a direct fit
to the drive shaft or jackshaft. So you would have to MOD the
in side of the sprocket to fit shafts :(

I couldn't recommend a chain off hand...I took my old one to a
moto shop and had them look at it.I think its a 420 or 428...I cant remember.
But I would lube up old chain and ride the thing around.(close to home)
Not only will you get practice (because your going to need it) but
any "issues" will surface and can be dealt with close to home.

One more thing....Carey a back pack with some tools...just
till you work out the bugs.At this point I just cary some Allen wrenches,
small can of dry lube,2 crescent wrenches, and tire pressure gage
but you might add a chain breaker and a sm.screw driver(flat head)

Does anyone have the assembly instructions for one of the 2009 models?
Mine arrived with absolutely no paperwork of any kind.
Thanks

Sorry bud....got mine off show room floor.I would bet you have to
put on front wheel. If you can get a pic. of it in its present state I might
be able to help more. 8)
If some one gots a manual it would be sweet to post it in the
manuel sticky. But the engine is the same as a few of the duel sports.
FML 163 I believe.

Dude,
I hate to break in, but I've owned a green and gold one and just bought a "Road Rage Red" model from the Scooter Depot. I have less than 500 miles on it and had the top chain snaped off. The foot brake stuck and the clutch cable was way out of adjustment. Oh yeah...and to top it off, the front headlight, which was "brand new" didn't work.

I love the way they look and cruise up to the Rock Store in California every weekend, where the bike is a real hit. But man...it's draining my freakin' bank account. The Chinese need to learn some lesson regarding Quality Control. Ride on, Wayne

lordueno37 Did you have any trouble with the green or gold ones? Or is the red the first that has caused you issues?

rear tires...
So I am building a custom 3/4 chopper using a lifan 250 I am going to use the 205/40/14 do you think I could find one. Guess what I did. If you are interested or need one let me know I got in touch with the company that makes em. I know you don't know me from adam but these freaking things are hard to come by and I have to get 4 at a time to get them. So if you are interested let me know I am totally new here I found the thread via google. Had a 205-40-14 from a friend and the tire shop trashed it mounting it so I was going to use a 195/45/14 but I might just have to buy 4 of these so I can have them.
