my 2006 wildfire 200cc enduro

I am having problems keeping my battery charged and it is a new one.

Check and clean your connections. Check electrolyte level. Check voltage with the motor off. Should be about 11.5-12.0 volts. Start motor and rev engine a bit. Voltage should be about 13.4 volts. If not you have a charging problem. Might be the voltage regulator (most likely) or stator (less likely). I bet it's something simple.

Could also be a bad cell in the battery itself. Specific gravity measurement of the individual cells will determine this.
