It looks to me like the plug is still intact in the pics. I am sure that it can be removed. If that is all it needs you got a great deal and a low mileage bike.

I tried putting "Viva" in the search function and got 378 posts. Looked a bit but did not find much. I am sure the info is there though if someone does'nt chime in. In reality it is a Generic GY-2. One post said Tomoto imported them for the US if that helps.

up date picked the bike up sat . started working on the plug . got it out ya . looked no treads in the hole . OK well I'll pull the head so i can use a repair insert . wrong answer ,dropped a valve big whole in the piston . never mind then . have a new engine on the way . now it's a 1000.00 dollar bike . still pretty happy with the condition of the rest of the bike . other news the original assy was sloppy still has some of the packing plastic on it . I'd post some pics if i knew how . I'm guessing that i better make sure the carb is not running to lean after putting the new engine in
the thought crossed my mind and i didn't spend much time looking into it that maybe a 250 would fit , has it been done [/img] |

I'll have a new engine before this weekend . it's really on my mind how the last one failed , lost the exhaust valve head and killed the engine . the carb has a 98 jet in it . any recommendations on changing that on a stock airfiter and exhaust ?

Alot of people have rejeted or just changed circlip positions on the jet needle for increased performance and better starting. I also have the size 98 jet and was able to get away with just moving the circlip down one notch. Its still a little on the lean side but does start better. I haven't changed exhaust or intake but am pleased with it so far, give the stock set up a chance before dropping a wad of cash. Let us know when shes up and running! |
