Would a 200cc engine bolt in a GY125

Hi, I have a Vulcan SM125 (GY125) and was woundering if a could put a 200cc or 250cc engine into it?

I would venture to say that the 200cc would all but just bolt in with no mounting modifications needed.

How hard do you think it would be putting a 200cc in the 125.

Burnzy and CZ, you guys should try this project. In the US, about 3 years ago when the Chinese enduro bikes hit, they were mostly in the 125 to 150 range. Starting around 2 or so years ago, the smaller engined bikes were faded out and replaced with predominantly 200cc enduros. I know in Europe, the 200cc bikes are becoming more popular now, but if I remember, your licensing is supposed to be graduated from smaller displacement bikes to larger engine ones, hence there seem to be near full-sized bikes with 50cc engines and such, and many 125cc bikes on Ebay. I remember being there in the mid 80's for the summer, and hung out at Crystal Palace with the skateboarders. A few of the guys were couriers and rode full size 125 cc enduros. Getting off the subject, one of them let me ride his bike around. Being the "ugly" American, or actually since California still did not have a helmet law yet, I remember riding sans helmet (gasp!) around the paved roads inside the place and security called the cops who came over to the skate ramp (my ride had finished by then) and gave me a stern warning and the whole cop talk about riding without proper equipment and such; plus no license. (I didn't do wild and crazy things in my youth, but would slip up with the occasional stupidity)

I see no great troubles, most parts seem common across the range, exhaust, electrics etc.. I believe there could be chain alignment problems if you try to fit a Honda motor into a GY. If it is any help I have my 250 motor (Honda CRF230 copy) sitting on the kitchen floor. So if you need to see a motor and frame seperated be my guest.

Thanks, i wont be doing it till i finish collage in the end of may start of june so it gives me time to save money. Does anyone now where to get a 200/250 motor from in UK and the prices of them, think I might look at the bike scrapyard (roosters for something).
