I'm amazed that it's that tight. Could the inside of the cover be clearanced for one tooth larger?

Some aluminum could probably be removed in order to fit one more tooth. I don't think there's anything but air space around the flywheel on the other side. Just easier to replace the rear. Only $25 including shipping for the sprocket.

I have 2 front sprockets for each of my dual sport bikes because sometimes I need high speeds and sometimes low speed power. Being able to change ratios quickly on this street bike isn't necessary.

The JTR279.30 came in the mail yesterday and I installed it today. Cost was $25 including shipping. It bolts right up. As soon as the weather improves, probably around June, I'll get a chance to try it out.

I am going to try to do the same thing. I had thought of trying to modify the brake cam, in some way to increase the leverage from the cam. Needles to say, I have not figured out how, I will study it a bit when I get it apart.

Thanks for the input!

Where did you order it, and did you have a chance to try it out yet? And if you have a chance I would like you to remind us of what you did on that rear brake.
