Beware Travis Oberg, Yoshida Wholesale and Yoshida motorspor

This guy scammed me out of $16250 about six weeks ago. I am not the only one, he has taken at least three others for close to 40k in that same amount of time.

There is a lot of information about him here,

http://www.travisoberg.net/ Somebody set that site up, not us and on our site,

http://www.china-moto.com/cgi-bin/ya...m=1265268233/0

This guy is the best scammer I have run across yet.

A word to the wise, be careful out there!

If you don't mind, how about a few more details. This is very criminal!

I bought 25 JL250P motorcycles from him that were supposed to be 2008/2009 model year.

I paid $16250 or $650 each. The bikes were never shipped. Travis has done this to many people before.

You can read about some of them on the china-moto site at the above url.

I have the resources and can take the hit but a lot of people are not in my situation and do not have cash reserves to deal with this type of scam.

All I can add further is that he is being investigated and we are victim number 29 in the last twelve months or so for wire fraud, as I wired him the money across state lines.

He will be in jail soon but I wanted to put out the Chian-moto url to warn others about him as did the other person who started the travisoberg.net site.

He is still actively scamming people.

Hopefully my post will keep others from being taken as well.

I'm sorry to hear this. Is this why you're shutting down the online store?

On one hand no but on another yes. The store does not make a big profit, just enough to pay hosting and help out with a few other small things. It could continue to run with no problem.

However, this has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I'm not that excited anymore about the china bike business.

Stan, who manages the store is also very discouraged at this point, he was taken early on as well but he did get a paypal reimbursement for almost $2k.

So I guess, yes, that is why the store will be going down.......

After having almost seven weeks to cool off and think about it Stan and I have decided to keep the store open.

We will not be selling motorcycles for at least another two to three months though, possibly longer.

I hopefully will have a hundred or so bikes by summer time. I waiting for the Spark 500 to receive EPA before I do anything else.

Oh yeah, I'll also be waiting patiently for Travis Oberg, his girlfriend Tammie Bindel and possibly his father, Forrest Oberg, to be sent to prison for wire fraud. Hope springs eternal.......

After months and months I can finally report that through working with the Kansas City DA's office and the Kansas City FBI, Travis Oberg was indited late last week for wire fraud by the justice department. This is a federal case so he is in some major trouble.

I don't know the exact number but I have been told that it is over $850,000 that Travis stole from his victims in the last few years.

Currently there is a federal warrant for his arrest and as he is running he is currently a fugitive.

I'll make another post when we find out more and when the other people in his organization are caught as well.

As of this last Monday morning Travis Oberg was apprehended at a residence he was hiding out at.

He will be arraigned on Thursday @ 1:30pm Central time in Kansas City MO.

He has no money for a private defense attorney so he is accessing the states public defenders office.

There is no doubt he will get some major time. Looking forward to Thursday

That is wonderful news, Almon! Thank you for giving us the great update!

These crooks are unbelievable; he steals $850,000, but he can't afford a private attorney!

He probably has the money but is afraid they will take it all, so he is hiding it. Thieves are a despicable type!
