Welcome!
I wondered the same thing for an XR200R that I'm building for my son. I think that the only option is to have the cam reground; there are two cam grinders in my area, but I wasn't prepared to pay the cost.

You could always check for yourself, if you could find a used one at a local bike wrecker. You could spin the cam in the bearings and check it with a cheap dial indicator and compare it with the Lifan cam. You could then install it and check for piston to valve clearance with your preferred method, although I think that clay would be the most foolproof.

I don't know. What if you tried to pick up a cheap XR200R cam on eBay?

I don't see how it could work. The Lifan is OHV, the Honda is OHC. Different animals.

Is the lifan engine an OHC engine? Some are pushrod. W&G might have one out the could be measured. Otherwise you may be able to buy a used one off ebay for testing purposes.

I may be willing to open up the GS200 engine I have here to do some measuring.
W&G, I am no engine expert. Would you tell me what I need to measure? I believe my buddy has some calipers and dial indicators. Allen
