A ride with Q in the grassland areas yesterday.

I had some bad stuff on my heart and mind yesterday so Q suggested we go for a ride to take my mind off my issues for a little while.

The grassy areas are in bloom this time of year because of this being the coolest and wettest spring we've had on record here (Mental note, screw you Al Gore  ) but it was a Good Day for a ride.

Q and I went 90 miles overall, almost all of it off pavement, and some of it in sandy hilly stuff, and some of it in some pretty stiff wind.

Even so we got 69 MPG, WITH dirt only knobbies, and a couple short full throttle highway runs of about 6 miles each .

The beginning of the grassy areas close to my house.

Windmills off the gravel/dirt road. These roads are common through the rural areas around me.

The Mighty Q.

One of the many "Where are we?" moments of this particular ride.

At this point there was no trail. Q and I rode on dead recogning to t visible known landmark through knee-waist high wild wheat (not a farmer's field). Thank God there were no snakes, but I did see a few coyotes.

The Mighty Columbia River .

Along a gravel bar by the river.

Q doing a mountain goat imitation.

A much happier camper. I still have the same issues I had before the ride, but the time in nature with Q, and you guys, helped me to cope.

Its nothing compared to the amazing pictures you posted, AD, but I'll still take the mild winters!

Its cool. Just some consequences of a poor decision. It will work out for the best in one way or another I'm sure.

Riding sure does help. That old joke that you don't see motorcycles at psychiatrist's is true, for me at least.

Thank you for posting the great photos, Doc. Where did you get the Suzuki decals for your XP200?

Thanks for the pics Doc.

I'd rather ride my troubles away than pour booze on top of them.

That's good advice

Doc, I'm just curious, that's not a farmers field, does that mean it is government property or ?

Great pics thanks for sharing.

They were like $5 from a vendor on eBay. He was in Mexico, but they were shipped fast and the quality of the vinyl stickers is excellent.
