If you wish to ride your 200cc motorcycle on the freeway, that is entirely your decision. However, I do wish to warn others that merely keeping up with the traffic stream is not safe if your motorcycle is running at, or near, maximum speed, without any reserve power available to speed you away from potential collisions. We are very fortunate that FastDoc is still alive to join us on these forums after his accident riding the freeway on a Zong last year. Spud

Riding these things are one of the easiest ways to meet our maker. I'll learn from Doc's lesson not to ever ride these things on the FWY.
Mine won't do 65mph. It'll do 55-60mph leveled. fishman, guess what I haul my bike with? A 4 cylinder Toyota Highlander. That's right baby, my 4 banger does just fine. |

By the way, I had to haul this thing to the gas station because I ran out of gas. The manual mentioned something about a reservoir by the fuel cock, but my bike doesn't have it.
Is there a way to know how much fuel is left in the tank? |

Your fuel petcock should have three positions: on, off, and reserve. You normally run the bike with the fuel petcock in the "on" position. When you run out of fuel, you can turn the fuel petcock to the "reserve" position, and travel a few more miles before the tank is completely empty.
Set your trip odometer to zero every time you fill your gas tank. Then note how many miles you usually travel before you hit the "reserve" portion of the fuel tank. In this manner you can use the trip odometer as a substitute for a fuel guage. Spud

There's no reservoir, and google comes up with nothing.
Keywords used: dirt bike petcock reservoir I'll stick with the trip meter. |

fishman, thank you very much. It works for now.
I noticed you also left a few wheel lock pins on the rack. I had to because I can't really pull the bike on/off the rack, if I allow it to sink into the gap. I'm sure it'll be fine with additional stronger tie downs like the way you did it. |

Check this image, it has 2 tubes, one longer. Petcock image The "on" position uses the gas to the taller one. When the gas level drops below that, you turn the valve to "res" and usually have enough left in the tank to make 20-30 miles. Several things can affect that, "gunk", water, broken valve... I also use the tripmeter and fill-up when I'm close to where I hit reserve. Bill |

I didnt read all the post but I was on a trip on my GY5 and i had it maped out back roads the whole way to my vacation spot but then i got lost and lost a lot of time so when i got directions from some one at the nearest gas station it lead me to I 95. I just got on and said oh shit when i realized the directions were to the freeway. but once i got on and was going 10-20 miles slower than everone else people just gave me room or went around me so i just putted to my destination/ I also have a rack built on the back of my van but thats to carry it every time i move.
