Will the Zong seat fit the XT225 and is it a better seat?

Spud and other Zong ridders.
Wonder if a Zong seat will fit the XT225 assuming it's a better seat?

How is the seat on the Zong? The seat on my XT225 is a butt killer. I've tried all the usual solutions ( sheep skin, gel pad, Stearns ATV seat cover) with little relief. I using a bead rider now which is the best solution I've come up without springing for a after market seat.

I only know 1/2 the answer.

The Zong has an excellent seat. The best seat I've ridden on a small motorcycle.

If it fits or not I don't know, but I know who will...

As usual, FastDoc is correct. The Zong saddle is very wide, and quite comfortable. However, the Zong saddle will not fit the Yamaha, XT225 frame. :(

I don't know who is selling the parts, but $75 is too much to pay for a used, Zongshen saddle. I can probably sell you a new, Zongshen saddle for that price, or a lower price.

Yeah, there are tons of over priced parts from that seller. for instance a front brake rotor for 60 bucks.

I was hoping that with the all the XT225 parts that Spud has on his Zong that the seat might fit but it's not a complete clone?
So the bead rider cover stays and the search continues.
Thanks for the answers.

Bead rider on my XT225. Especially nice on hot days.

try checking with a local shop. maybe you could have it recovered and add some good thick foam while your at it. it may be cheaper than buying a whole new seat.

I frequently see guys advertising on CL that offer seat recovering and custom work for around $50.

You're welcome, Vince. The Zong's frame is patterned more closely to the TW200.
