Didn't one of our members restore one of these?

The high/low tranny seems like a great idea for a dualsport. I wish that caught on!

Yup, I think it was Jim? His was yellow though... I think he fixed it up and sold it.

Edit: Found a thread on it, his was a 120 though. Still had the hi/low though.

I had a Yamaha (I think) TS100 that had the option. It had a dial down by the shifter to change the range. The bike needed to be stopped to do it safely. I got pretty good at changing it on the fly, though.

My TS100 is a Suzuki, but it doesn't have the high / low range option. it's a '78. Too bad; I'd like to try it.

Can't seem to stay away from you guys hehe. I've been popping in and out and happened across this post, The ole TC120 is still running strong and the guy that bought it is happy as can be.

Thanks for the concern about my daughter doc. She's doing good and as ornery as ever. A while back the pump she wears got a blood clot in it and after she cleared it out, it injected a day ot twos worth of meds into her in a matter of seconds and made her pretty sick for several days, but she's doing ok now.

I guess, I can't stay away from the china bikes either. I got a wild hair a couple of weeks ago and bought 2 250 scooters. A Komoto 250 sport scoot and a JCL MP250A touring scoot. The engine is bad in the Komoto so I'm in the process of a upper end rebuild. The JCL is a darn nice scoot. It's been well cared for and had 2700mi on it when I bought it. It wasn't running to good so I did a complete tune up including a valve adjust and it runs great. I wouldn't be afraid to ride it anywhere. It's got 3300mi on it now and the weekend forecast is calling for 80 degree temps so it'll have more on it by the end of the weekend. Maybe I can get a few pics today and post em. Hope everyone is doing well.......J

We're glad you cana't stay away. Fixing stuff is an addiction, and Chinese stuff presents so many opportunities!

Glad your daughter continues to do well.

You know we need pics of the scooters....

Hey doc, my son in law is always saying fixing stuff is an addiction of mine. I keep telling him it isn't but in reality i guess it is.

One of the scoots is in pieces at the moment. It over heated and stuck the rings and the piston left a little of itself along the cylinder wall. I was surprized to see how well a simple hone job cleaned it up tho. There's a couple of minute scratches left but I don't think they'll cause any problems.

Gotta love aluminum pistons in a cast iron bore.

Welcome back Jim.
