No more Viva vx200sx as we know it!

http://www.atvsimports.com/dirt-bike-200cc-enduro.html

That is NOT my bike! I'm glad I didn't wait to get mine!

I bet it had something to do with the pink rims!

That bike it the old Terminator (Roketa DB07). Actually it is a pretty nice bike. The OHC engine is a plus. Other then that, it's the same as all the other 200 dual sports with the conventional forks and drum rear brake. What don't you like Pink Princess???

I THOUGHT it was a Roketa! I don't have anything against them, I just like the looks of mine better...especially the gauges. I guess it's kinda upsetting not seeing my exact bike still on the market. I figured that if the thing blew up, I'd just buy another one like it and have one for parts. Of course, as I get more into this, it seems like mine's pretty close to the older Lifan, so parts aren't so big an issue.

<sigh> It was so much fun when others bought the same bike.

And maybe I do kinda like the pink rims...

I'd trade my 150cc in a heart beat. I want to change everything anyway.

You know what is funny is the pictures I've seen of the Lifan GY-2 are almost identical looking to the DB-07/DB-07A.

Those pictures from the link are from about 3 different bikes the VX200SX, Roketa DB-07, and the Roketa DB-07A.

It certainly looks like the old style DB07 built by Chaunl with the OHC Engine.

If it looks the same but with the OHV Engine it would most probably be built by Shineray.

But of course either one could be completely different in the next production run.

I got my db07 in on monday, and it has the ohv motor, with a shineray plaque on the side. The motor is a 169fmlepa, complete with smog controls 8O , pcv, egr, and catalytic exhaust headpipe. All of this with the four letters CARB on the side of the box, and I live in Wisconsin, where none of this matters.

Isn't 'classic' just another word for 'hard to find parts'? LOL

If it makes any of you Viva owners breathe easier, the viva's still seem to be available on Ebay.

Otheride, my guess is that the outfit you linked us to, which I presume is the place you ordered yours from, sold out of their load of Vivas, and has switched to the Terminator/Roketa/Shineray, etc. (probably built in the back alley of the Zongshen factory) bikes for now.

I am a little sad that the rims don't seem to be the bike color... I am still partial to red bikes/pink rims bikes

Just pull all that smog stuff and block the plate on the engine. I'd save it all and sell it to someone in CA looking to register their bike!

You know, the link that you provided, Otheride, is another site for viva-motors.com that Juancho warned us about. I wouldn't believe much of anything they show us after reading Juancho's woes!
