We will have to wait and see. Post October or beginning of November we will hopefully start seeing owner reviews being posted. As far as 650 goes there is a 650 Himi or Scram in the works that I have heard but the next 650 being released should be the Classic 650. With those low slung straight pipes it would give the most room to mount any bags in the back of the bike.

From what I've seen, November is the release? I did see another vid where someone mentioned 40+ hp. that would be a big step in the right direction. My gen 1 KLR is only rated at 36.

It is. Itchy is on a NDA but she can say what she feels and says it's feels twice as powerful as the previous Himalayan. In the second video she also compares it to the Ducati Desert X which she did not like as much off road. Her observation was although the new Himalayan has twice the power it does not lose traction on the loose off road riding where the Desert X was always losing traction and spinning the rear wheel as it has too much power going to the wheel and broke traction on her.

I do prefer it over its main competition the KTM390.
But I'm not sure how well/competitively priced it will be.

Though from all reports R.E has no intention of cancelling the 411 air cooled Himmy.

With the 452 probably getting a good mainstream review there might be a few current Himmy riders looking to 'upgrade' So there might be some used old models deals hitting the floors too..

Can’t compare honestly. Brand new engine design. So if the old engine had issues or the old engine was perfect it won’t have much bearing on a brand new engine design. We will have to wait to see how the new design pans out over time.
