The assembly of the Templar x isn’t bad at all. Plus you’re going to want to check all the bolts anyway. It’s just not worth the extra cost to me. Also, I think you will be happier staying with the X. The extra gear is nice. And you will probably appreciate having the adjustable suspension as well. Just my opinion.

Bigger, fatter tires
Does anyone know, if it's possible to put bigger, fatter tires on a 2022 Templar X 250? If so, what size would you recommend?

Hey tknj99, I appreciate the pic's/info on the handgaurds . I looked a little more on Amazon and found what looks to be the same handgaurds but with a black finish on the aluminum so I went with those. Did yours come with "Acerbis" stickers too?
The Amazon seller was HIAORS for anyone interested in a all black look.

Since you said those hand guards fit, I ordered some of the same. I felt no need for stickers or anything either.
Strangely enough on here I can't click on links to anything on Amazon. I click it and it pops up for an instant then disappears. Even if I choose a new tab or window. But if I right click it, choose "inspect" the link and then look at it, it takes me right to it. Probably my browser or something, I need to check it out elsewhere. |

Ran out of gas again lol after switching to reserve.. not even 5 miles out of the reserve.. definitely keep that in mind if planning any excursions out in the middle of nowhere.. luckily I wasn't far from a gas station and rode my sons Brozz and filled .30 worth of gas in a dr pepper bottle lol..

100 sounds about right. I get between 110-120 miles on the trip before my petcock needs to be switched over. That’s on streets. Once I have to switch the petcock over I usually go back to the garage and fill it up again. What you ride on determines how much fuel you use. Sand being one of the worst for fuel economy.

Saw there was a black version in another listing that would blend in with the Templar better. There's a 5L (1.3 gallon) version also. https://www.ebay.com/itm/15392535391...Cclp%3A2047675

Planning to join the 14T club.. just order the sprocket and a new O-ring RK 520 chain (116 link). I replaced the 42T rear in anticipation with the stock 49T. From online calculators, it looks like my current setup at 13/42 is a 16.7% decrease in torque / 16.7% increase in speed while the 14/49 is 7.7% /7.7% which probably makes it like a 3.5 tooth down in the rear from original. Should add some nice extra torque boost and still get me to 60mph or so which is fine.

Installed the RK 116 link o-ring chain today, replaced the front sprocket with the new 14T and stock 49T on the rear. Had to remove 2 links from the chain.. I also filed down the sprocket cover but it got so thin so i just used vice grips to peel away the rubbing area.
