This bike SUCKS

If it’s the not one thing it’s another , I got one thing fixed and now it just might be the end for this bike, I was backing my bike out of garage after fixing a problem turn the handle bars back and forth around objects and everything thing went dead no electric nothing, can’t find any fuses blown, did find some bare wires around handle bars the harness is pretty bad , has to have a blown fuse I don’t know where it is

Only one fuse. It's right near the battery.

Yes my friend and mechanic found it to me it didn’t look blown and found 4 wires at at the forks and handle bars that needed spliced when I replaced the headlight theirs no room to tuck the wires back in the rubber boot so the harness is getting messed up I am thinking of trading up for a klx 300, when I bought this hawk I thought it would be the quality of my qlink xp 200 not by a long shot, or maybe I’m just getting old and inpatient

Yes could be but the harness shouldn’t be falling apart at 3000 miles , I
Have had cycles since I was 7 never had electrical problems like this maybe this is the last of my problems, I am vary grateful for the help from this group

Yep, I found my 2017 hawk to be extremely frustrating until I got the mods done and the bugs worked out. It was/is my first motorcycle. I built it from a crate. I also had some wires melt together early on, still don't know what happened there. I fished them out of the harness and soldered in some new wires. It still works.

Actually, the hawk has turned out to be a pretty good motorcycle. I've been riding mine in the rocky mountains and the Utah desert for the past 5 years. I've put around 3,000 trail miles and around 50 road miles in so far. I'll ride it 50 miles down a jeep trail over a mountain range to the middle of nowhere. I really don't worry about it breaking down anymore. I have beat the hell out of it and it still goes.

So, your ineptitude in replacing the headlight is somehow the bike's fault?

Wire and Cable routing is important, excessive rubbing or pulling will damage wires and harnesses. It's worth being patient with it and rerouting, securing and checking it from time to time. This really is true of any bike, just that we have to be our own dealer support on these.
