Yeah! Can't wait to hear how the rebuild goes!

I have an old Daisy Model 120 my first wife bought me back around 1984 (.177) and it's "rebuildable friendly". The seal/piston is a big, thick puck of leather. Just scuff it with emory cloth and re-oil it and it swells back up! It's biggest problems are that it's inaccurate, slow, the spring twang is very loud and it takes a ham fist to pull the trigger. Other than that, it's still very cool!

I still haven't finished the rebuild yet, but I did buy a Marlin Model 60 tonight. .22LR semiautomatic rifle. This one was built in 1987.

That's a nice .22 caliber rifle.

I received a pair of daisy 853"s last week. Been doing a refinish on stocks. One will be for my lady and the other for me. I have upgraded triggers coming from daisy. Those guns are entry level target rifles that sell new for 395 each retail and I paid 222.50 at the cmp for the pair shipped. The gov. supplies them to most ROTC units for marksmanship training. They will stack .177 pellets in the same hole and are low velocity about 500fps.

A lot of Olympic shooters cut their eye teeth on these.

I paid $90 for the marlin. It is in pretty good condition. Perfect for our use. Plan to buy a scope for it. This will be for varmint control. Armadillos, opossum, and skunks.

That's a GREAT Marlin! My best buddy still has his from when we were kids. It's gone through living hell with us teenagers and still works like a charm! You'll get many years of great service out of that weapon. Awesome find Kato.

I did some research and this model was suggested for those reasons. One of the families at our Church owns a gun shop. I bought it from them. They gave me a great price. Need to stock up on ammo when I see it.

We shot it last night. Worked flawlessly. My daughter eyes got big after I sent 7 rounds down quickly. She only shot once, before we had to leave.

Cool! I'm not sure how your daughter is with the "pop!" of a .22 LR but you may want to toss some Calibri's into your collection of ammo. Very low FPS (about 680 I think) and are more quiet than my Daisy Model 120 .177.
.22 LR is still very hard to find (out here) but it's getting better. A guy I work with says he gets on the internet at 3:00 a.m. on Cabelas every Wednesday morning when they release their weekly stock and buys it then.

That is a wonderful photograph of an America that is sadly passing away, except for Kansas, Idaho, and few other places.

Lily shot this squirrel at 10m with the crosman 760 multiple times. I was unable to hit it.

That's why they often make awesome drag racers.
