If you use a lot of dimes/washers, you won't have a problem with the centerstand spring.

Regarding the power outlet installation, CSC says you don't have to remove the windshield. I installed the cigarette lighter outlet with the windshield installed, then removed the windshield for the installation of the USB outlet. I suggest you do yourself a favor, and remove the windshield before you start this project. In my opinion, you will use far less time, and suffer far less frustration, if you remove the windshield first.

That is excellent advice.

All Honda dirt bikes come equipped with rubber grommets which support the valve stem, and keep dirt out of the valve stem hole. The rubber grommets replace the valve stem nut, and allow the valve stem to move as the inner tube shifts.

If you don't have a Honda dirt bike, you can buy the Tusk Rubber Valve Support/Seal kit for $1.99 from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC.

I have these rubber grommets installed on the valve stems of all my motorcycles. I love them, and highly recommend them.

Here are two, excellent, tire changing videos which show the removal, and installation of the Honda rubber grommets on the valve stem.

Couldn't agree more. This is where an extra 3 minutes of dis-assembly will save 15 minutes in frustration.

Forum member JTHSpace found a small, reasonably priced, speedometer corrector which will work for the Zongshen RX3. If anyone is interested in a group buy of this unit, please join us at the following thread.

If the Cyclone takes off, maybe Honda will see the light. The price premium for that extra 150cc will be pretty stiff, though.

I think the Shineray X5 has similar problems with quality control, Pete. Isn't the XRE 400 Falcon manufactured in Brazil?

There's no doubt about that. In addition, the Honda bike won't have all the standard features of the Zongshen RX3.

yes it is.....
I had a 05 XR250 Tornado was also made in Brazil... dam nice bike
should have kept it... they use the DOHC/air cooled / six speed CBR250 motor
so very nice to ride on the road.. Honda turned it into the XRE300 with the
CBR300 air cooled motor...

any way.... watching to see how the RX3 goes.... Maybe a future investment....

Tornado

Thanks for posting the beautiful photograph from New Zealand.

I agree; you should have kept that motorcycle.
