Zong Sierra Key Info
My good friend Spud sent his old Zong tank to me, along with a key for the gas cap. I went to my local Rona hardware store today, and got another key cut for it. IIRC, the blank is intended for a Isuzu, but to some of the older guys around here, it would remind you of a trunk key for a Ford.
In case it benefits Zong Sierra owners, the key blank is an Ilco (made in the USA), and the numbers on it read X121 and DC3. It should be easy to find at your local locksmith. EDIT: Since the key worked nicely in the gas cap, I went back to get another key cut. I learned that Cole (made in the USA) also has a key blank that matches, and the number is Y107. According to Cole, the key is also suitable for Chrysler imports. I also found Ilco keys with plastic covers that are very similar to the factory Zong key, and they are numbered as DC3-P.

I am fortunate to have a local locksmith the use to ride. He has been able to match up and cut any key that I have brought in. Also made a key for my yamaha radian that the former owner lost the key to.

I edited my initial post to include some more key info.
Spud, I had two extra keys cut for you.

Congratulations, Brother Weld! I have decided to add this thread to the Zong Sticky, so this information will be readily accessible to Zong owner in the future. You will now advance one rank in The Cult of The Zong!
