Noobish question, but will i need to change the spark plug, or should it be fine connecting my db-06 to the sparkplug in the lifan engine?

Sparkplug is fine, no worries there . So the donor bike was a good running bike? That thing must have been a bear to get into the van! Probably had to lift/drag it in? What was wrong with the donor bike that the previous owner got rid of it?

I believe he said that it was wrecked. Bent front wheel.

Looks nice and clean. Lots of good parts too.

Thanks for starting the new thread, Gamma! You scored big on acquiring that used bike; the parts alone are worth well more than $375!

Are you and Zombie twins? :?:

Yeah we scored big on this bike, and no haha, we're not twins.

The engine is in, Fit perfect! we got it done in an hour and 20 minutes. went very well!

Have company at the moment, So i'll finish assembling it in a couple hours. I'll take some pics of it before i start the re-assemble process.

Question! Will my Roketas sprocket engine sprocket fit on the new lifan engine, is the counter shaft the same size? I can check it, but if you know off hand, lemme know.

Wooooo!

You work fast! Make sure you applied red loctite to all the engine mount bolts, Gamma.

I think the countershaft sprocket will fit perfectly; however, the only way to know for sure is to experiment. We eagerly await your additional photos.

Yeah the front end is the only thing that had damage, the blue headlight plastic was cracked up, and the side faring had a crack.

Kid we bought it from was hit by a Lady who wasn't paying attention and pulled out infront of him. He flew over the bars, said he flew like 10 feet, but was okay, other than his lag being jacked up for a while. got rushed to ER. Good thing he's smart and wears a helmet. Was probably 16 or 17 years old. Got a decent pay out though, more than he paid for the bike. witch is good.

He and his dad helped us get it into my bros jeep grand cherokee, his dad made it A LOT easier.

Sounds like a great score to me! As Spud said, it's worth way more than that in parts! Heck, I think I paid about $350 or $400 just for a 125cc Lifan, no bike included

Great idea, Dude had two of the bolts missing from his. Will get some red loctite and do that.

Okay, cool. Yeah i'll check it out (countershaft sprocket)

I took some pics of both bikes stripped down and i'll take some more in a bit. Expect pics later on today !

Also, Only 4100 miles on it

Depending on your riding intentions you may want the sprockets off the lifan, they are set up for highway and yes they will interchange. The lifan uses 17/43 if I remember correctly this equates to about 70 mph at 6500-6800 rpm the rocketa bikes are usually much lower and believe me 1st gear will still climb most anything you need.

Okay, Everything is about together, But the Counter shaft sprocket from my roketa engine didnt fit, so i am trying to get the Rear sprocket from the spare bike, on my DB-06, Ran into a problem though...

On my DB-06 wheels rear sprocket, One bolt is stripped to hell, and i cant get it off, there is a little rim around the 4 nuts, so i cant really use needle nose vice grips to get it off, i've soaked it in wd-40, the bolt is almost round, its so stripped, I may try to dremel it off, if i damage the bolt its self, can i replace it.

other than that it seems good so far, haven't started or rode it yet, but once i get the lifan sprocket on my wheel, I'll be good, Any tips to do this would be greatly appreciated!!!!

i may dremel the little rim thing to get at the bolt with a pair of vice grips. im pretty positive its just part of the sprocket.

should be good to go tomorrow, if i can get that Stripped Nut/Bolt off

For sure, I will be using the Lifan sprockets, My Roketa engine sprocket didn't fit, so I'll be using The Lifans counter shaft and rear sprocket. Can't wait to feel the difference!

As for the striped rear sprocket nut, they have an easy out kind of thing, for nuts/bolts, ill pick the tool up tomorrow, and i should be set. Can't wait! added some pics from earlier today. will take pics of swapped engine tomorrow!
