Halfthrottle Video

Here's another video by Halfthrottle talking about his old KLR.

Great video!

Sad to say this makes me yearn for my past KLR's.

Maybe #5 is out there on CL somewhere?

Halfthrottle has a ton of cool vids of his adventures in Panama. Interesting to note, he had lots of problems in mud with it and was running a street oriented tire. Turns out it's almost impossible to buy knobbies in Panama and the shipping to get stuff there is a major hassle. Check this one out, my back was sore just watching it!

He does always wear a helmet when he's riding, I think he just removed it to try to get up the hill because it was super hot and humid. I think I'd be crippled up if I had to pick mine up that many times! Lol!

KLR's are great to ride but miserable to pick up, especially if lowsided on a hill.

I have had much practice in this manuver...

That was a great little video! I loved the music, and the philosophy.

I'm sorry, but the KLR650 is just too heavy to be riding in conditions such as that. 8O I hate to pick up my XR650L, and it weighs 80 pounds less than a KLR650, even with my larger, aftermarket fuel tank. :?

You can't ride in mud such as that with street tires. 8O It's difficult enough to ride in such mud even with excellent knobby tires! I felt sorry watching him wrestle that "pig" in the mud. :( Nevertheless, it's a great video. I'm really glad someone finally came to help him.

P.S. The burro negotiated the muddy hill with ease.
