Ken Sean/Bikemaster Folding Mirrors
Several days ago I installed Ken Sean/Bikemaster, Universal Dual Sport Mirrors on my Zong. These mirrors can be folded inward while riding off road, so they won't be damaged by brush or falls.
http://www.oemcycle.com/Item/product...m_campaign=NXT Today I took an extended test ride with my Ken Sean/Bikemaster mirrors. They offer an excellent view to the rear, and are free from vibrations! These mirrors easily fold inward for safe riding off road, and are remarkably inexpensive. I am very pleased with these mirrors. Spud

Is there a joint within the articulated rubber? I'm having trouble visualizing how the mirrors fold.

The weather was beautiful on Saturday, so I went for a long ride. Here's a photograph of the Zong with its Ken Sean mirrors extended, posed in front of Grand Teton Peak on the horizon. Grand Teton Peak is 13,770 feet above sea level, and is located north of Jackson, Wyoming. In this photo Grand Teton Peak is located on the horizon directly above the fence post which is located over the Zong's headlight.
Here's a closeup photograph of Grand Teton Peak. Riding along at higher elevations, I discovered a fallen tree blocking the road. Before heading around the tree through the brush on the left, I folded my Ken Sean mirrors. Here's a photograph on the other side of the tree, showing the folded mirrors from the front of the bike. I kept the mirrors folded inward until I reached the pavement. Here are a few more photographs showing my Ken Sean mirrors in the folded position. I really like these mirrors! Once they are adjusted correctly, they don't vibrate, and they offer an excellent view to the rear. As you can see, they fold away into a nicely protected position. Spud

I would be remiss if I didn't warn you. I suggest you don't buy either the Emgo, or the Baja Designs copies of these mirrors. Make sure you purchase either the Ken Sean, or the Bikemaster mirrors. The Emgo mirror is less expensive, but it is inferior.
The Ken Sean mirrors are larger in diameter, and slightly convex. The Emgo mirrors are flat. Also, the screws which tighten the Emgo mirrors to the stem are threaded directly into plastic, and will loosen. The screws for the Ken Sean mirrors are tightened into a nut which is embedded in the plastic. http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/768...olding-mirror/ The Bikemaster mirrors are the exact same mirrors as the Ken Sean mirrors. However, the Ken Sean mirrors come with installation instructions, and the Bikemaster mirrors do not. If you get a better deal on the Bikemaster mirrors, here's a link to the installation instructions. http://www.sandslave.com/2003wr250f/mirrors/index.html Spud

Great pics, Spud!
I had those mirrors on my 1996 XR250L some years ago and liked them. They held up well, but rusted where wash water held up under the rubber boot. You can prevent this by maybe spraying a shot of silicone on the metal before pulling down the boot.
