My new ride XT660Z

Hi,

on saturday I will pick up my new (used) ride. A Yamaha XT660Z. I am very anxious.
No worries - I will not sell my V-Raptor

Congratulations, the bike looks like new!

And if you change your mind about the V-Raptor, give me a call...

That is a great looking bike. We don't have them in the US. My brother and I were checking out bikes last week. Found a 650 vstrom I liked.

yes, I saw that. The US Yamaha website only has the Super Tenere 1200. I wanted to compare the prices...

I have never seen a bike that looks like that.

Badazz :-)

I assume it uses the tried and true 660 Single?

Vey cool.

Similar exhaust principle to the current CRF450 and the old XR's with the RFVC engines.

Oooohhhh.... I wish we had those here!

Reminds me a lot of the Super Tenere, but a more managable size!

That is a very nice bike, and it appears to be in mint condition! I wish that bike were available in the United States.

WHY? ... Dose the US market have a shortage of over weight poorly suspended bikes ?
The Aprilla Pergaso is the bike... same motor in desent running gear... not perfect but better..

But I like my XTR anyway despite all of it's short comeings..

@MICRider
it actually is a "Tenere" xt660z. The Super Tenere has too much power for me with 110HP, and too heavy. With the huge 6.07 gallon tank full, the 660 only has 203 Kg (447 pounds).

@Fastdoc
The funny thing is that, I would have liked to have the "new" KLR 650 (like the guy from Peru), but they don't have them here in Germany. They only have the old model, which I didn't want. They only sold the KLR650 here until 2003. So the newest one you can get is 10 years old. I did see a 2003 model with ZERO kilometers on it, but I thought there must be a reason if they haven't been able to sell it in 10 years.

@Pete
I like the "R" version also. Thanks for the link.

@Spudrider.
Yes it's in almost new condition and is two years old and only has 4500 km on it. The market research of some companies do doesn't seem reflect real life. Maybe the should read more forums?
