Changing GY6 Scooter Clutch Springs
This technique worked very well. Ice pick is one option. Heat tip on a stove element to bend angle if desired. Source . . clutch springs . . contra spring Re-grease torque driver while clutch is disassembled. Walmart Super Tech grease works fine. Placing a loop of 5/32" Teflon valve packing (hardware store plumbing department) in the spring base may ease the twisting movements. De-glaze pads and inner bell surface with some type of abrasive. Bad clutch bearing and related videos (Honda Elite 110 scooter). Last edited by tortoise; 04-23-2016 at 02:57 PM. |

Nicely documented! I'm a long way from needing it but I'll know where to come back to for info.
