Lexmoto Assault oil and filter change

Hi there, I wondered if anyone could help me please. Im going to perform the first service on my bike (300 miles) Ive bought the oil, spark plug but the oil filter is whats called an oil strainer but Ive no idea where it fits, any ideas please, Thanks, Phil

Also known as a Aprila ETX150....

oil strainer is in side the motor... normaly just wash them in petrol..
if it's a round tube it comes out with the oil drain plug... "easy"
Also a biggish spring in there...

if it's a flat screen it's in side the right "clutch" case.... "not so easy"

Now I am asumming these motors are a Honda copy.....

Thanks for the info Guys, I think the motor is a Suzuki GS125 copy. The oil strainer looks like a metal gauze thimble so will it be on the end of the sump plug? otherwise I might have to order a gasket if Ive got to take an engine cover off. The speed of the bike is about 60-65mph. Ive only done 300 miles up to now but its loosening up all the time. Engine very tight when I first got it. Phil

by the sounds of it you will find it on the drain plug...
if it is a Honda copy you will need a 24mm socket as
it is on the side of the sump below the fly wheel cover..

Did the servicing yesterday and everything went to plan, I was trying to richen it up a bit. Theres a mixture screw on the front of the carb behind the cylinder, quite difficult to get to, but it hasnt made much difference. Its always run on the lean side since Ive had it, to start from cold you need the choke full on and keep revving it for at least 3 minutes before it will settle down and tick over. Anyway, thanks guys for info youve all given me. Phil

Phil, it sounds like you could benefit from a larger slow jet in the carb.
