Bought a Vader 125 on Newegg - Positive Experience!
Hi Everyone,
I bought a Boom Vader 125cc on Newegg a week ago, and I've got my new bike up and running a week later. Here is my timeline of events: Sunday 4/2 - Purchased bike on Newegg.com for $1199 as part of the Neweggflash sale. Received order confirmation. Tuesday 4/4 - 8:49 AM - Email confirmation from Newegg that my sales order was successfully charged to my credit card. 9:06 AM - Another email with shipping confirmation and tracking info. Email says that the bike shipped from Riverside near L.A. and RL Carriers is the freight company. 9:14 AM - I send Boom Intl an email through Newegg with the following text: "Thank you for the email including the order tacking information for my sales order XXXXXXXXX. Should I expect a phone call from the carrier concerning final delivery? Thank you!" 9:25 AM - I receive this response from Boom Intl: Yes, they will call you to make an appointment before delivery. They will need someone to sign the paperwork. Thanks. 11:17 AM - I receive a phone call from RL Carriers. They ask if I will be available from 11-3 on Friday 4/7 and confirm my address. Friday 4/7 - Large truck arrives at 1PM. Driver happily rolls crate into my garage. And we're off to the races! Now, I just need to contact Boom to get the MCO sent out so I can get it registered. I'll update this thread as the experience progresses. Here are some pics of the crate, I'll post other assembly pictures in the other forum: |

They are either affiliated in some way, or they worked out a deal with 'Manny' at TX. TX Powersports is in Dallas where RPS is. Why Newegg could not simply make a deal with RPS is a good question, but for whatever reason, they are going through TX Powersports according to their site.

For the Vader it said "Sold and shipped by Boom International."
That's just how the Marketplace works. I figured that purchasing through Newegg gave me a better customer service route in case Boom was hard to deal with. |

New Egg is becoming like Amazon. They approve certain retailers to sell through their website. It's a bit harder for retailers to sell on New Egg than Amazon tho. New Egg handles the orders and then TPS fills the orders by pushing them on to the supplier.

Now that's how a transaction should go.
Congrats! |

Boom is the distributor--you wouldn't deal with them directly as an end user. This way gives them a quick way to sell retail via online means through New Egg without getting into trouble for violating wholesale law.

Hi everyone,
The MCO either came on Saturday, or today. I'll get it titled and registered later this week!

That's great news! hopefully Lucas@air_lift has good luck and gets his soon. I'm hoping to receive my vader on friday and I'll send out for the MCO. I'm gonna try to register it without it in the meantime, just can't wait.

Anyone else that has registered a Vader, has it been a problem that the dealer (in my case Boom directly) didn't fill out any of the information on the back of the MCO?
