Lifan 200cc issue

So I recently got a lifan 200cc motor. Ran for about 2 miles and stopped. Got it home, opened valve cover, found the exhaust side pushrod sitting next to the rocker arm wedged in. I pulled the rod out and found about a 1/32"-1/16" bend in it. Replaced both rods and set correct clearance to about 0.05mm. But now it won't fire up, is there anything I can do? Something I did wrong or something else possibly damaged?

I doubt if the push rod popping out of the socket would damage anything, but the big question is why did it pop out in the first place? Any chance you over-revved the engine to the point of valve float and bent a valve? I'd do a compression test.

Oh forgot to mention that. When I reinstalled the pushrods I found that the clearance for the bent side was way out of spec. It had a large gap. So Im thinking it was just too loose and when I actually started riding it it popped out. But I'm gonna do a compression test next. I do feel a considerable amount of air coming out when I remove the spark plug. But I will check the actual psi levels.

There is a running Honda SL 125 for sale on my local Craigslist for cheap. I'm tempted to buy it and install the 200cc Lifan. I rode an xl 125 for years in my younger days.

Buy a new CDI for testing purposes; it's always good to have a spare. Aside from that, I'd install a 30mm Mikuni, which is easily found on eBay for less than $40 shipped. They're easy to tune and jets are widely available.
