My Rhino 250 Project.

So my atv came on Thursday. I was very excited to start the assembly. First opening it from the box.

There was a broken part on my machine so photos were sent to Q9PowerSports we will see how they treat their customers.

so I opened the rear axle and greased it and repacked the axel bearings then repacked grease in the front wheel bearings also

once it was all greased up I put the rear back together

then I started to build the winch mount brackets both primed the self-etching primer then painted with truck bed liner.

mounting the winch was much easier with the brackets

Did an oil change and added an hour meter/tachometer
shows hours when the engine is off and shows RPMs when it is running

I also added a phone holder. Next is to add the trailer hitch than a 20" light bar and change front sprocket. before ice next season I will upgrade spark plug, wires and carb along with the jets might add the USB charger under the seat to charge the phone if need be.

I just want to say thank all you guys on here i learned alot about the chinese atvs and mod ideas from this website it truly is the only source of info out there. Thank you

That is awesome! Great job!
I find the one real upsides of China bikes is that you can mod your heart out because if you screw something up, it's not irreparable damage and hundreds of dollars to reverse the damage at a Honda shop.

That and I love to tinker. Be it on a boat, atv, car, gun, bow you name it. Just like you said half the fun is cleaning/wrenching and enjoying a beer in the garage with the smell of fresh cut lumber and grease lol. The real selling point for me was that I was able to get myself, daughter and soon wife an atv for almost the same cost as a honda recon.

one more thing is it normal for the gears to stick when shifting threw them? I have to rock the unit back and forth to change from 1-4 if not riding. will it smooth out with use?

Mine does the same thing when not moving sometimes but is always smooth moving.
