Dong Fang Ghost MC141-250

Hi I'm new here but not new to Chinese motorsports. With that being said I will also add that I am EXTREMELY mechanically inclined, and the thought of maintenance, upgrades, and constant inspection of the bike does not steer me away one bit. I have been considering buying one of these for my wife and want to know if these are any good. What are your thoughts?? She is currently riding a 1981 cm400 hondamatic but wants something she can learn to shift.

Here is a link to the bike

I was looking at that same bike here for $1999 shipped. http://www.apscusa.com/New-250-Cruis...ion_p_948.html Sounds like you have all the qualifications for owning a china bike. The engines are pretty tough and pretty much the same engine as on the Hawk. As long as you go through the whole bike and check every nut and bolt, grease every part that needs grease and maintain the engine they will last. The ones you hear about not lasting are the ones that people get and just slap them together, put gas in them and beat the snot out of them. Then they can't figure out why it fell apart. My Hawk has over 2800 miles on it And has never broke down or left me on the side the road. They're just like any other bike, you have to maintain them.
