Really close to getting a bike....PLEASE help me decide...

This picking a bike is killing me...

I am considering these 2

http://store.oohla.com/storefiles/te...1949152874.jpg

and

http://www.atvdiscounter.com/picture...30/4729057.jpg

Ok now I know prices or too close to bicker about.....

My biggest worry is the size.... I am short.... I am 5' 8" and weigh 140

I have sat on a Yamaha XT250 ....it has a 31.9" (lets say 32")seat height

I was tip toed on it and would have been a comfortable ride for me....

I have a 30" inseam...

I am afraid that anything larger would be uncomfortable ride ...

I don't want to teeter totter at a red light....too embarrassing....

The Gy5 looks huge..... the Roketa has a lower seat....and I think it may be comfortable...

The gy5 seems to be more popular...

The Roketa looks cool too...

I don't wanna buy one and then find out I am too short to be comfortable on one at a stop sign....

Am I making sense?

Please help .....

Tagging is another thing I am worried about....But I am in Alabama and the DMV is not too strict around here...I hope...

I usually steer people towards the GY-5, but I have heard its uncomfortable. However, I would still seriously consider it, due to it being DOT certified for 49 states, which should help in registration. I am only 5'7", w/ a 30" inseam, and had little problem sitting on my jetmoto, which had a 35" seat, but i used to ride a DR250s which got me used to tippy-toeing, so I am not too intimidated by tall-ish seats.

Both of these bikes have a high seat height that maybe uncomfortable for you.

You can always make a low seat for the bike and that would probably solve all of your problems.

It really isn't too hard and would work wonders for most of the wood seats these China bikes come with.

I was reading about some dude who made a low seat for his bike by adding layers of carpet underlay and gluing them together until it was perfect. and then convering them with leatherette.

You may want to check out the Zongshen Sierra 200 since they are a couple inches shorter then most of the other China DS bikes. I only provided this link to show the bike. I know nothing about this seller.

I think you'll be fine with either one. My bike has about a 33" seat hight, I have a 32" inseam. and I weight about 165. When I sit on my bike it always drop's a little from just my body weight so I sit comfortable on it....

I think the staying away part is from the Sierra/X-Ranger models made by Zongshen; 'SamM' from here, 'Beemer Boy' on ADVrider.com, 'PolygonFla' from here, and 'CrazyCarl' from here and other forum sites (but most recently mentioned it here) have all had issues/problems/first-hand experiences with the Sierra model.

The Roketa would seem to fit You as far a seat height goes, The Lifan has the new motor though....Tough choice.....But I would say the Roketa because of the seat. And it looks good. Oh I forgot the LIfan has the smaller sprocket so it would do better on the street...You would have to change the one on the Roketa

Go with the Roketa. That's a nice looking bike and they are a good machine. BTW the Roketa's use a Zongshen engine, but they are well tested on this forum and have had MUCH fewer engine / tranny issues then the Lifans and other brands. Can't go wrong with either bike really.
