Wow! that sucks. Hope it turns up. If you get it back you can pick up an inexpensive alarm. I have this one and is very loud. You can greet them with a shot gun next time. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I hear ya. Worst feeling ever. Many years ago during hurricane Andrew someone had broke into my apartment and stole every gun and jewelry in the middle of the night during the hurricane. I was next door at my parents house because I was afraid the huge pecan tree would fall on the apartment. About 2 or 3 in the morning I hear a loud crash thinking the tree had feel on the apartment. As soon as it was light I went to inspect the damage. I found the door to my cabinet shop was kicked in and the apartment looked like the storm had passed right through it. I was ready to kill. I almost stayed in the apartment. Lucky for them I didn't because they would of found them with large 45 caliber holes in them.

I'm sorry to hear that :/ I had someone steal a minibike I had chained up outside my apartment in a 30 minute time span when I lived in the city, they left behind the 20 dollar chain for some reason. I live in a rural area now so I'm not worried about it. In the future I'd suggest looking into one of these. They dont cost much to run per month, maybe 5 bucks. Seems quite a few people around here have been in your position lately.

Might I ask, what will they do, pull the cylinder and start it with a screw driver? or hotwire it?

Just speculation I understand..but curious

Frank is devastated along with Jay. The only good thing is we got the word out on fb and the for sale groups and it's spreading like wild fire with many others sharing it. And the mail carriers and transit drivers have been notified to keep an eye out.

I'm not a big FB fan but that's one place that will get the word out quick. Around here I think more criminals are found via FB than the Police can. Good luck guys. Hope you find it.

these bikes are really easy to hotwire tbh. its safer to have a chain and alarm than rely on the key or steering lock. the only issue is filling up the tank after that.

although these bikes are light. 3 guys can easily carry it away and load it somewhere. When I totaled my hawk on the highway. it took 2 guys and my dads girlfriend to load it in a LIFTED truck bed and drop it back off at my house like 20 minutes.

The way it was locked up they had to drag or carry it. And there's a dent on the hood of his car where they dropped it the first time, and some plastic from the hand guard further down the sidewalk where they dropped it a second time.

Damn, sorry Jay. Hopefully they dropped on their head and end up with a TBI because that's what they deserve.

Well that sucks Sorry to hear about your bike. It sounds like it was locked up , but as others have said 3 men can easily and quietly carry it away and load it onto a truck somewhere more convenient . A bike without a chain or alarm is easy prey as you literally walk away with it.

I'm heading to a car show this weekend in pine top arizona and may take my tbr with me in the back of the van , i do have a decent lock , but i think a disc lock with alarm might be on the cards for me.

Any insurance for the bike that you can claim and get another one ?

I hope it all works out
Paul
