Small Harley to be sold here as Benelli

According to this press release,the new small Harley will be sold in the US as a Benelli, with a little twin in the 350cc range. pretty cool.

I think they'd make out better with something like a "Hummer" clone.
That thing doesn't look at all like anything they've ever made...
Then again it may drag a few more customers their way.

Agreed. This little 350 looks ike a Yamaha with the blacked out engine parts.
I was hoping for something that looked more classic, like one of the more recent Jawa twins.

pic of the Harley SS-350 I got back in 1973 when I was in the Air Force up in central CA.
(Made in Italy)

The 350 concept is really nothing new for HD.

The most comfortable ride I e ver had on that bike was when I went to Bremerhaven (spelling) Germany (the port) to pick up the bike and drive it all the way back to Bitburg Air Base in Germany. Road it on the Autobahn all they way back except for about the last 50 klicks or so. The electric started motor is dead now days and have to resort to kick starting it. Kick start is on the left side of the bike, use right leg to start it. Still does 65-75 mph without blinking. :-)
