Battery for Brozz Recon

So guys I picked up a new battery for my still in the box Recon . I’m putting together my friends bike first and removed the battery and tray to fill and charge. Well, the battery I purchased seems to be the incorrect size. Is there an actual correct size aftermarket battery with more cranking amps and amp hours than the stock battery. Here are a few pictures for comparison. Is anyone just cramming it in there? It’s definitely wider. Not sure It’d really fit.

Hey Spins.. I have the same aftermarket battery and was able to install it.. It's slightly deeper so you can push it down as far as it will go and it will leave a gap between the bottom of the tray but will be tight in there and shouldn't move

For that frame, the Yuasa 12n9-3b should be a dry fit. The size of the battery are as follow
length: 135 mm
width: 75 mm
height: 139 mm

Does anyone know the CCA on the stock battery? And the Amp hour on these batteries, is it 3? The battery on my 18 was always weak when cold. After the engine warms up it seems okay.

I had a concern with the stock battery on my Brozz. Even with it fully charged it sometimes hesitated trying to start the engine. So I replaced the battery with a Zip Battery, YTZ7S. That didn't really help much but at least it was a sealed battery. I saw a video on Youtube where a guy upgraded the wiring on a Hawk 250 to 12GA wire. So I went ahead and did the same. I replaced the wires between the battery and starter relay, from the starter relay to the starter, and the ground wire from the battery to the engine. I also used the original connectors on the new wire and soldered them on. I also used the original connectors on the new wire and soldered them on. It was about $4 worth of new wire. At this point the hesitation is gone. I don't know exactly what gauge the original wire was, I'm guessing maybe 10 or 12GA.

I have the same hesitation. 10 gauge would a larger wire size than the 12. I’ll have to take a look. Something to put on my to do list.

I am using the stock battery that came with mine, and I have started it in temperatures from the high 20s, to upper 50s, and it usually,if not always grunts for just a split second when I hit the starter button. I just assumed it was it's nature.

The stock will probably last awhile.. i just changed mine out as i didn't want to mess with battery acid and instead have a sealed maintenance-free battery.. the new battery hesitated after a few days of not being started in the shed in temps between 20-30's over the winter so i bought this solar trickle charger at HF and has been great since..
Ive always kept all of my past bikes on trickle charge after every ride and was so happy to find this as an option

I’m running my stock battery for over a year now. I was out of commission for several month a with my broken arm. I’ve put it on a slow charger less than 1 amp a couple of times due to the bike just sitting and she always charges back up.

I always turn my lights off when cranking the bike up when cold. Always hesitates like it has a bad connection or not enough ump to spin the engine over.

On the Topic of batteries, I just purchased a Nocos Genius 1 charger, with an extension cable. It has a quick connection that attaches to the battery, so you can charge without removing plastics.

NOCOS Genius 1 Charger: 29.99

Eyelet Terminal: 9.99

Extension Cable: 11.00

All on Amazon...

Not sure it helps anyone out, but I think it will make life easier for me anyway.
