Hello everyone question about lower BD125-11 GT

I'm trying to avoid buying a adjustable shock or any modification kits
I'm only needing a inch lower why can't
Just loose the dog bone drop it then tighten it back ?
Thank you in advance for any advice[ATTACH]Name: IMG_20210427_160811_662_1619554166988_1619554597007.jpg

What bike? Very few shocks allow you to do height adjustments. And typically, they only lift.
