2016 TaoTao ATA 125D - Starter Issue

Went to pull my kids quad out to run in the snow, and it sounds like the starter is froze up. Ran and started fine this past fall, full battery + jump pack used. I can drop it in forward gear and get the piston to move, so I am thinking it is froze up or misaligned somehow.

All bolts are tight, I tried a hammer to no avail. Thinking it might be toast. Check out the video and turn the sound up and let me know your thoughts.

Here is the link:

Thanks,

Eric

I'm sure that if you pull it out you'll see what's wrong. It sounds like it's spinning but not engaging fully.

Take the cover off that your ground wires are connected to ,and have a look at the starter chain and clutch ,it might of fallen off the sprocket or possibly the clutch is seized up or something . Truck

Well, turns out it was a weak battery. After tearing it apart and not finding anything, put it back together and threw my jump pack on it and popped right off. Battery is 1 year old from purchase who knows how long that bastard sat on a shelf....
