Is the other side connected to the valve connected to the exhaust port side of the head? Incomplete egr??

Nothing. It's a vent. The business end of the canister are the two hoses on the top.

Yep that's just the canister vent, it's only there because of strict CA emissions.



This may or may not pertain to you, but I had to swap the two hoses that are going into the canister because many of the 2021's accidentally had these reversed. It causes a vacuum in the gas tank, which can be seen the most when you fill up the tank (the bike will die after a short time running), and another telltale sign I learned here is that you'll hear a whoosh of air when you pop the gas cap. It will also start back up if it dies when you do open the gas cap.
