Cat delete techniques?

So I just cut out the "window" i was going to initially just cut it out and st8 pipe it but I heard it doesn't turn out right it's hard to get find the right pipe size and make it match. So anyways I cut out the window and I guess I'll just take a drill bit to clean out the precious metals but I was wondering if that chamber that the cat was in and you take it out how does that affect our four strokes exhaust peessure and all tht. My line of thinking was along the same lines of a two-stroke exhaust were expanding the chamber thn tapering it back down.?

I cut all the way across the cat on mine and cleaned it out, then used the swedged part of a tailpipe extension to connect the 2 pipes. welded it to the head pipe. I then mounted the headpipe on the exhaust and fit the rest of the pipe to the bike and tacked the pipes to each other. Then removed the pipe from the bike and finished both welds... turned out pretty good and was real easy to maintain the curves of the exhaust.
