You will get your MCO (Motorcycle Certificate of Origin) and Bill of Sale within a few days. You need to insure it if you want to get it plated. Liability is enough since you have a clean title (I just added mine to my existing GEICO policy for $33).

But the Zuma X7-250F VIN will not be recognized. That's OK. Call Geico (or your insurance company) and tell them you are adding this new motorcycle.

Once you have the proof of insurance (they emailed my "card"), take these three documents to your license bureau, office, with any other things they might need (proof of paid personal property insurance for past two years is required in Missouri). That's it. Oh, and cash or check to pay for the process

Yes, I know other state have them as well. Those guys will make sure you get it registered and tagged as that's how the make money. There little extra fee makes it so easy. In and out less than 15-20 minutes. No waiting like at our local DMV which can take hours sometimes then get rejected for something minor and have to go back the next day.

Ah, OK. We have pretty good DMVs in MO. Never been in one for hours, and some are super-fast. As I understand it, they are privately contracted with the state, not actual state entities themselves.

Well that would explain the quick service.

Bingo

Lots of govt employees are essentially welfare recipients who have to be in a certain location for 8 hours.

Thanks thumper.
yeah the seller informed me that "The certificate of origin defines it as dirt bike but it has same specs as on road vehicles...."

You find something was lost in a Chinese translation somewhere...?

Looking at it now this is more "road vehicle" than "dirt vehicle", I think.
It is a more a "road vehicle" than "dirt bike"

The templar has the ability to escape the pavement safely in emergencies. It can travel on a dirt road. It can do the speed limit if it has to.

It is more road worthy than my other other: tao tao gy6 150.

The certificate of origin needs to state Motorcycle and not Dirt Bike. You will have a hard time getting it registered and tagged with Dirt Bike on The certificate of origin.

Here is what mine looks like. This is the new 2022 and a half 6speed TempX. The 5speed TempX also had "motorcycle". If yours arrives with "dirt bike" in this field, request a corrected MCO from PowersportsMax. This happens occasionally since they sell lots of dirt bikes that don't have a horn and lights, as well as small four-wheelers and gokart things.

I just got it insured yesterday and will head for the license office Saturday morning. Yes, all of our field offices are third party license contractors trained/licensed by the State to handle most motor vehicle stuff. I did buy a vehicle at auction from city impound that I had to process at the main office of the State motor vehicle division (after State Police inspected it, verified mileage and VIN). These field offices are all private contractors.

No issues in Idaho, just have your certificate of origin and insurance. Took about 20 min.

Make sure you have a properly completed bill of sale that includes all the necessary information. Then going to your local DMV office to submit your title application
