Push-lock Gas Cap Leaking
Push-lock type gas cap (as pictured) leaks when the tank is full. Can't tell if it's coming past the gasket or through the vent system. Has anyone experienced this? How do I fix it? I'd rather not replace the cap cuz it's keyed to my ignition. Is the gasket replaceable? THANKS!

I had the same problem with my 2018 Brozz which is the Storms brother. Check out this thread, a new cap fixed it completely. I know you didn't want to replace it because of the key but I just carried 2 keys, not a big deal to me but it's your choice.

yes,...the Honda cap is an easy fix....I posted this in 2020........."I went with the Honda OEM as soon as I got my bike,...has never leaked,...it is an IDENTICAL twin of the original cap (except of course for the quality,..where it is all Honda there..)"

My thread on the Brozz is from 2019 and your right it was the perfect fix. I never had another problem with it after that. Fortunately the Brozz had a gas cap redo in 2020 I think it was. The new flip up design was much better

Follow-up report:
Of the multiple solutions to this problem from herbie's thread, the quickest, easiest, and cheapest, was to cut the bottom off the fuel cap mechanism. If it doesn't work, I can always buy one of the Honda replacement caps, right (yikes, they're up to nearly $60 now!)? Upon cutting the bottom off the cap, I located what may have been my leakage problem: a dried and broken o-ring that seals the breather mechanism to the cap. The great thing about cutting the bottom off the cap is that now the breather hole is well up inside the mechanism where it should be shielded from slopping gas. And it makes the cap about an inch shorter, allowing me to fill the gas tank one inch deeper. Just a note: If you're considering doing this, keep the cut about 1/8" (3mm) below the locking ears or you could cut into the locking mechanism. But did it work?
